Wow, thanks for posting this Kenn. That looks great already. Don't think I could take on a Dome project. I'd probably buy one already made if I wanted a Dome This thread will be good to follow.

Weather in Scotland so unpredictable just now,, getting three seasons out of four just now,,, summer weather would be nice,, everyone catching colds just now. Keep up the good work,,doing a grand job

I hear ya Davy, Winters in South Texas are mainly just rain for days, today will be the only day ill have to work on the Obs before the inclement weather approaches. Look forward to some pics.

Yip,you make plans and the weather just hits you the hardest slap in the face,,,but looks like you have it in hand,, looking good nice aloud looking dome,, are you keeping the base to much the same diameter or are you going large scale,,

I would have loved to have went with a traditional dome design for my observatory I will be building next year,, very classy.. but for security wise I need to go with the traditional pent shed roll off roof. I'd love to have a house in the middle of nowhere that you could build as big as you wanted to and design you wanted and not have the place like fort knox

Thanks DaveG currently i'm working on the dome ring base, i will be posting pictures by the end of this week. The build is a lil tricky but coming along nicely. i know it will pay off. Till then Clear Skies. KennFromTX
