Looks great Carl, like the colour of the post too blends in lovley! I'm hoping to get started on my mobile version soon! Lol was told to make it garden friendly! Looking forward to your design what about a tilt type? I did think about a tilt type and even one that came up out of the ground at the push of a button but had to slap myself for getting carried away I thought with the tilt type I may find it more difficult to keep it rock solid when in position and more decking would have to be cut away etc. I'm now thinking of using a 6 x 6 bolt down post shoe with a 6 x 6 post. When not used all that would be left in position under the decking hatch is the concrete slab and 4 bolts.
On top of the post I'm planning to use two brake disks. One will be bolted to the top of the post and then the second will be attached to the first with 3 large bolts. The first brake disk will have 3 thread holes for the bolts so I can adjust the level once fully loaded.
Just initial ideas for now but I think if it all goes to plan it should be pretty solid and certainly good enough for short exposure VA.
