I bought a Sammy SCB4000 which I need to remove the IR filter from. Does anyone have any instructions for the IR filter removal.

I dunno. I got the impression that the SCB2000 was much simpler to do. Ken would probably know.

Congrats on the new cam Btw i just noticed a post in sgl that says the W5 hand controller that some of us use for the scb2000 works for the 4000 too! Might be worth investing

Filter removed. Took about 15 mins for a novice like me.
I have bought a coaxial remote control from the link in SGL, (I saw it too) so I will report back if it works.

Glad to know people are using my video to do the mod. It lets me know that it's worth making tutorial videos and by the way, don't follow those instructions for filter removal on the 2000 that Chris linked to in SGL. Just remove the 2000 case and undo the 2 screws at the back of the front circuit board and the filter and its housing will fall out through the front hole. Job done Takes about 1 minute No need to remove the front circuit board.

Was good easy to follow video Ken. camera is running, but have no comms unless I use the button on back of camera. I have an rs232 computer connection for remote control which shows COM1 but the computer says it is using COM4 and I can't find how to change it.
I need another BNC plug touse the coaxial controller i bought so am trying to use the computer remote first. any ideas.

Allan, I made a simple hand controller for mine. It doesn't have PC control. So I can't help in that side of things, sorry mate.

Ok Thanks Ken. I'll just have to go out and get a BNC connector and try the coaxial controller. If it works it will be one less cable running to the scope.

Well I have it working with the RS485 to RS232 converter, so now I have computer control over the menu's. My menu display seems to differ slightly from other folks. One thing I cannot find is AGC. I have a menu item called 'Motion' in its place.
