Damn, missed you again. Those grabs are amazingly sharply detailed. Must have been a really good session.

Thanks all, it was a good session. I just re collimated the DOB and that helped. One thing I have learned, You must have dead on collimation if you want to take advantage of HD. If collimation is not perfect, the image will look no better than SD video.
My last couple broadcast with the HD cam were ok, but last night it was incredibly sharp. The conditions were good but not great. I have to stack it up to great collimation.

I did some image captures during my NSN broadcast last night. Astrolive and the ATIK is not quite ready, there is a great need for color balance control. However in B&W mode it works rather well. I was able to view many objects during the broadcast and the near live images were rather good considering. I did not do any screen grabs but did later process the images. Next time I will try to remember to grab screen captures from NSN. Disclaimer: They are 100% post processed so will not post them here. But if you would like to see some results of this camera they are posted on my flickr page. www.flickr.com/photos/leehemmingsen/sets/72157644948656631/

Broadcasting the moon tonight in HD with the DOB. I will be on as soon as I can see 2 stars for an alignment! About 9pm EST or 1.5 hours from now.

The above videos were as recorded by Takis on NSN. So it is representative of what everyone saw.

Thats very impressive Lee. I was amazed at how stable the image was and Saturn could be seen quite clearly.

Excellent work Lee.
For some reason, the second video is my favourite. There must be something about it that grabs my attention more.
