I really need to streamline my operation and came across this chaps rig and it ticks all my boxes,, just need a PC stick and a power converter.
I want to get the heq5 into action and if I can set up my ed80 like the set up in the video will make things a lot easier,, can get my hitecastro focuser transferred off my St102 onto the ed80 Ile be very happy

Yes - having messed about with Peltier coolers - I'd say that's a good design

That cooler is way awesome Ken!! Yep, it was designed and used by Bert van Donkelaar, the well respected Very Deep Space Astrophotographer (a very good mate of mine in Melbourne).

Well my next upgrade was a pressie my kids bought me off the web for Xmas, and it just arrived this afternoon (so the rain promptly bucketed down!). Ready for wide field work ... Rokinon f2.0 135mm lens for the Canon's. Now if only the weather would clear ...

Hi rob,, the very man to talk me through it all,, I'm going to run my heq5 via skywatcher wifi unit.
What I'm looking to do is fit all the gadgets to my scope like in the utube video I put up. I have a skywatcher electric focuser that is controlled via the hitecastro usb control unit, im going to fit it back on my ed80 ,, and plug it into a usb unpowered usb3 4 port hub.
Zwo asi178mc to same usb3 hub
Orion mini guider and qhy guide cam I have to usb3 hub,,but don't need to do this right away.
I want to possibly use an HDMI portable monitor on scope 10"
Goal is to remote view and control focuser, camera, guide camera wireless,, I want to mount all of above to the ed80 ,, I should only have a power lead to mount and power lead to PC stick,,, Be good if you can guide me through it all,,

I have a Cirago 6 port USB 3.0 hub with two extra 2 amp charging ports. I power the stick off one of the charging ports and velcroed it to the back of the hub. I had read a while ago that ZWO cameras didn't like unpowered hubs. Also, I think with an unpowered hub, your devices would get their power from the computestick's port. It may not work right with all that other stuff on there.

I want to possibly use an HDMI portable monitor on scope 10" Another thought, if you just want some kind of monitor for set up, you could go with an inexpensive Windows Tablet. It would give you everything the stick and monitor does and it will likely be less expensive and be one less cable. It doesn't need to be any more powerful than the stick computer. I have a Microsoft Surface 3 which works well (4gb ram, 128gb storage & 128mb SD card). It's processor is a little better than the stick. It is more money for that particular one but I've seen knock offs that were around $100 US.
