Couple of more bits of kit came today,, Pack of ten photosensitive sensors,,for solar and hopefully lunar tracking,, and a rain sensor,, why I bought that I will never know,,, it's always raining in Scotland,, lol.
Checked size of the shafts on eq m,mountount,, 5mm,, ordered a couple of shaft connectors to join motor's to the mount,, budget blown this week ,, I had to send away for a multi meter,, blew the fuse on my fluke 78 meter,, £15 for one in UK,, China bought four for £12,, problem,, not here for a month,, hence cheap multi meter purchase for work,, snap on tools rep on holiday this week,, going to get a snap on one,, think it's rated at 20 amps where my fluke is 10 amps,, bloody sick of buying fuses for the fluke,, brilliant meters had mine since 1999 but I could have bought a brand new one adding up what I've spent on fuses Rant over 😀

I order stuff from China on AliExpress as the sellers on Ebay are far too slow sending stuff out and Ebay isn't always fair when you dispute the item either. The big difference between the two is that AliExpress keep the payment in escrow until you have accepted the item. This means that the items are sent out faster and you don't get messed about as much. There is more incentive to provide a better product & service.
Rain sensor is going to get plenty of work Davy. Dry down here, I can't have a beer until the weekend!

Scroll across the top and you'll see where it is

Emptied computer of any computer port devices,, driver for lasers ect. Removed and reinstalled arduino, and I can put code in,, just can't be bothered redoing the project today,, probably give it a go tomorrow after work. Been reading the book I got to keep me interested 😁 or I would have fired it off a wall..lol.
Probably order stepper motors next week,, no sign of the shaft connectors from China yet. Just messing around with it all just now to get feel for it all and keep adding to the kit. I would like to get the solar tracker working on the small pan and tilt, before I move on to larger projects along that theme.
Few ideas I have. 1. Solar tracking via the eq mount I got, put a scope on with a solar filter set up a camera and let it record all day.
2. Slight variation of initial idea, pan and tilt with a camera and a solar film in side a allview type dome to protect camera ect a permanent camera ,, I've seen solar panels that return to where the sun rises after the sun sets, or variton An arm on a servo holding a solar film that could move and let you try lapse the night sky,, record to a CCTV DVR
