Cheers Davy. Haha i packed up about 2:30 am I couldnt have asked for better conditions! Crystal clear all night! Noticeably much more stars on show than normal. The perfect conditions just highlighted my lack of practice tho lol. Faced issue after issue... all user error! Im done complicating things i gotta learn how to use the kit i have lol

Slightly better attempt at Mars last night. Will keep trying! Thanks to all those who joined me! Had quite a few members watching. Stayed up till 3:15 waiting to try and catch the ISS passing Saturn but got clouded out at the worst time lol. Targets covered were Mars and very briefly Saturn using the ASI120MC & LX90. And M51, M82&81, M101 and M13 using the mcx and 70ED. Summer time sucks!! Less than 4 hours darkness...with the north never really getting dark lol

Good showing last night Chris, did you save your video of Mars? just wondering if you put them thru registax and to see the final outcome. That ASI seems to give a nice colour.

As for darkness it was pitch black here last night but black cloud does do that

Heres a few from last night. All random exposures. M101 was tough! Struggling to get much detail before the background goes full white

Not really sure what im doing tho lol I think that's pretty good, considering it wasn't large on screen. If you had more magnification or a larger scope there would be more details to drag out of it

Very nice Chris, I see from the amp glow you were pushing it for 101 Mars looks good too with some nice detail. As for NSN, I now have my channel back.

Im on now for a quick go on the moon its cloudy tho Edit: Lasted like 10mins lol clouded out! Hello mate, Sorry I missed it but I was busy getting drunk in the hot tub. No clear sky last night and lot's of rain so a man must improvise for entertainment Top tip I learnt also, visual astronomy simply does not work from a hot tub! Waaaay to much humidity!!
