Thanks Chris, I think I'll ask for a channel so I can practice with it, seems straight forwardish Cheers Karl Okay just requested a channel so ahem... watch this space! Excellent Karl. Yes, don't forget to tell us your Channel name so we know which one is you (sometimes many channels are running at the same time).

Sorry chaps, I kept it simple as I was in a rush and could not think of a suitable cool name! If and when I get a channel I'll be Spacedout Cheers Karl

I managed to broadcast the moon for a short while last night. I got everything aligned and setup just before the clouds rolled in. For about an hour it wasnt too bad with just semi thin clouds covering the full sky. I was actually suprised with the amount of detail i could see through the clouds Was pleased with how the findercam perfomed too! You could fit at least 2 or 3 full moons into the FOV. I was delighted with how the new desktop setup performed! (Only faced 2 minor issues) Its much much much better than how i was doing it before with the netbook! Setting up still took me around 30-40 mins. Was the first time doing it this way tho so i was confusing myself a bit haha. I also messed up big time by standing on the camera wire after i aligned and it totaly screwed my alignment so had to align again! Packing up was great tho! Took me no more than 5 mins to pack everything away I tried to keep going as long as possible. To a point that i was using x4 intergration on the moon and still couldnt see anything! Cheers lads that joined! Hopefully will be a longer session next time!

Great show Chris and I loved your description/opinion of your country's weather system Considering the weather you still managed to put on a show so what more can you ask for! I really liked the finder cam too, huge FOV! Hope to see you on later, fingers crossed....

And i get so few chances to look at the moon so i was happy Also my mate Cal that joined absolutly loved the video i made of the moon and wanted to see more. Hes completely fasinated by it. Ive been trying to get him into AV for a while now and was happy i could show him what can be done with a cheap camera and simple setup. Im hoping tonight is good. The forecast is much better than last night anyway. But ive learned with this hobby forecasts mean nothing

Setting up now. Not much improvement on last night weather wise by the looks of it. Forecast says part cloudy.
Should be setup in around 30mins.

Mine is pretty secure and my neighbour is armed police. In fact most of my neighbours are police. Still you never know!! It's only used for the odd night as packing that lot away at 2.30 or later is not much fun. Particularly as you only packed up as your eyes kept snapping the matchsticks! Good cover though and the next best thing to a permanent observatory!
