Arthur, unfortunately .gif's don't always work as attachments.
How I get them to work is by posting them in sites like PhotoBucket, Flickr, etc, and posting a link to the gif in there.

I couldn't open the picture this morning but now I can, not sure what changed as I'm on the same PC. No visible tail but the halo around the core is faint but evident. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
