right got it working, one think I don't like is that splitcam seems to take over, even when I load amcap or gstar, splitcam fires up on its own, think I'll take the plunge and get miloslick and remove these other software

Splitcam and Manycam are well know for their method of taking over your computer. I got fed up with it. That's why I gladly paid for the full version of WebcamMax. You control it, it doesn't control you (I think the free limited test version is annoying to, but by purchasing it, all the hassles stop).

yep, all done and dusted, the problem with the grabber was I only installed the drivers for the grabber and did not install WinTv7 which came with it and I thought I would of not needed this seeming as this is a TV tuner program. Now all the cam softwares see the grabber.
Now I have removed all the other cam softwares and just left Amcap and Miloslick installed on laptop and desktop and everything is ok.
Also before I went to bed this morning at 3.45am [another long day]I ordered the licence key for Miloslick and when I got up at 9am checked email and there it was, so just done a quick test on NSN and Miloslick works ok, no more freezing or not responding, which I think was down to not installing WinTv7, I think the possible cause of all this is that the codec's for the grabber are in WinTV and not in the driver install.

That sounds good Dave. I think the Svideo cables can run happily up to 100 feet.

Not sure if this is right or not and it is only my 0.01 % worth opinion, but I use a Pinnacle Studio MovieBox Ultimate. It has worked on 6 different PC's 3 Windows operating systems XP, 7 and 8 ,no issues. I have 3 because I want a back of of it at all times and know we wont see another like it. I use the S-video input and it has 3 inputs it can take, but the best part is it has 3 outputs. So one goes to the PC and 2 go to monitors. I have used Easy Caps and many others testing for NSN and not one of any of 12 different types has ever been as reliable nor have any better image. Make sure if you run one down that you get the software with it also. Not just the drivers. The software is outstanding in it's own right. Ebay has them and sometimes Amazon too. Jim T.

Thanks Jim, this looks great and the extra outputs would be very useful for me. I have the Dazzle DV100 Platinum HD at the minute which is fine but one output only. I have never used the software that it came with though. How do you use this, for editing captured video only or does if have live uses?
As for NSN, there are several on this forum who are extremely grateful for this service myself included so thank you!! Hope to get on later weather permitting....
