Great video... I haven't seen too many solutions that show some surface detail as well as the proms!

Thanks guys, still a lot of testing to do, weather's not helping with having to stop every minute or so and it's been clouded over all day today.
I need to find a adapter so I can screw a camera straight onto the Quark and do away with the 1.25 nose piece. I can unscrew the 1.25 holder on the Quark which as a 37mm thread I think and see if it will improve the focusing and do away with the reducer

More gusty winds for Hobart and Tasmania today, but no where near as bad as the past 2 days. Some amazing photos taken over the long weekend including this one from Mavis Wilkins of the Midway Point causeway.
I'll bet there will be a lot of car washing going on the clean off all the salt spray! Clear skies... Shevill

That is not a coast road, it is well inland crossing a bay, at Midway Point, the real sea a well away. Wind gusting over 100 km/hr. Just a few km along the road from Cambridge where I live.

Clear skies... Shevill

Had another go the other day, went on NSN hoping someone could give me some pointers and Phil came on and with 2 tweaks I think I had a better image than my previous attempts. I still need a fast high res camera but I'm holding off at the moment as ZWO are bringing out a new camera in August. Was planning of getting the ZWO asi 174mm high speed and resolution mono camera. The Samsung is ok but I get vertical lines going down the image and same with the extreme when I get the tweak the image. latest results.
Samsung 2000p. ED80. .5 FR and 15mm spacer

Hey John, they are great results mate. That Prominence appeared just for you, so you could show us how good the Quark works and how good you are getting at using it

Ken it must be nearly 3 weeks ago the sun last came out to play. I had it all setup ready about 2hrs before the sun cleared the roof this time I didn't want to waist what time I had.
No Davy I didn't screen it to the tv, but now you've put that in my head I might give it a go, as the Tv is hooked up to the internet and also can do mirror'ing. I had my Asus android 10'' tablet to mirror what was on my pc monitor and that photo is a snapshot of the tablet screen.

Today was global Sunday and as usual the weather didn't play ball, All I broadcasted was the clouds hoping it would clear, was using my SJcam M10 helmet cam as a sky cam so I could monitor the weather on the tablet while watching the F1 grand prix in the other room, was broadcasting it on Val and Nsn at the same time and it worked ok.

Just done a bit of a upgrade to the Quark. I've replaced the 1.25 EP holder with a 1.25 Baader click lock. The problem was that when the camera is in the holder it didn't line up correctly, it was tilted and to one side which resulted in the images wasn't uniform. I don't know if the holder is machined right but when the camera is in I could still tilt the camera and it didn't seem secured. Others have complained about it and someone as asked FLO if they could get a adapter made to screw into the Quark with a male T thread. So now with the adapter and click lock I now have a firm fit. As you can see from the photo's that the eyepiece is shoved to one side with the original holder and when the camera is attached it's made worse as the camera nose piece doesn't butt up to the holder and you could wobble it about. On the Baader click lock the inner sleeve is the length of the holder and as 2 long rollers that grip the EP or camera nose piece. I already use a 2'' Baader click lock on the focuser tube and its a good bit of kit.

Good work John. Yeah mate, I know the problem. It's pretty common for everyone but not many people mention it because it is sort of accepted as the 'normal' fit That device looks good how it holds the EP/Camera along the full length to stop skewing. I use insulation tape myself. One small strip on one side of the camera nosepiece to take up the gap
