Hi Group
I received several emails and posts here asking me to explain how the Miloslick histogram and Input levels tool functions. Many are confused when it comes to these excellent very useful tools. I tried my best to explain as basic as I can how to analyze, read and use effectively both tools. I also included a video tutorial on how to properly expose your Mallincan video images for near real-time observations of different types of deep sky objects.
I would appreciate any feedback from you either here or by email at denturist89 at sympatico dot ca letting me know if these videos have helped you in any way by understanding this complicated subject. If these videos have helped the members here then I do not mind doing more related video tutorials even though there is a lot of work that goes into making and posting them.
Thank you in advance!
Video tutorials are located here:

Excellent video demonstrations/tutorials, which I am sure will be a great help to both newcomers and some not so newcomers who are perhaps not up to speed on how to use histograms to their best advantage. There is so much to learn and it takes time to actually do all this in practice, these tutorials would make the learning curve easier and quicker, with newcomers getting great results in a shorter period of time. As an aside, I used to teach one of the video sections in a college diploma course in photography, (rather different to my teaching clinical histo-pathology) but as a tertiary qualified scientific imaging specialist, it was easy for me to do. I was initially surprised at how basic one had to take things for newcomers to grasp, teaching is an art in itself, and you have the gift. Perhaps the Moderators can make a file section called "Video Demonstrations/Tutorials" as a standard reference section ? maybe it exists already, I have not checked.
Clear skies... Shevill

I was on the fence about getting into using a computer/miloslick but your videos changed my thinking. If you could make a video about amp glow, masks, etc. that would be great. Very nice Chris. Thanks for taking the time to publish these.
