I've never heard of a car called a 'Seat'! But it doesn't matter what you drive (or ride) davy, as long as you get there. Any vehicle beats walking in the cold and rain

Its manufactured in Spain part of the Volkswagen group, originally it was a joint venture with Fiat of Italy with Fiat models being built in Spain and rebadged as Seat, and now its a subsidiary of the Volkswagen group and kept the Seat name but used Volkswagen engines and running gear.

I've just got back in from the Hyundai dealership and bought myself top of range i30 crdi sytle Nav auto in white with all the bells and whistle's. not keen on white but I just couldn't leave it on the forecourt. I managed to knock the price down by £2500 and p/x my two cars and got a good deal on them,so I pick it up Monday, happy days

going to leave it for a while, but it seems quite pokey for a 1.6 auto only took it for a 30 min drive around some country lanes and dual carriageway didn't want to frighten the salesman in the passenger seat to much but he did go for the grab rail a couple of times. first impressions it accelerates quicker than the D5 just hope its as reliable with all the electric gizmo's on board but he did say the voice activation is hit and miss, it has got just over 4 years warranty on it. My brother use to have a Hyundai and said they were good with the warranty side of things. While its under warranty i'll have to take it in for servicing to them but that's only every 2 years as I normally do the servicing on my chariots. They had a nice little number in the showroom in white I've never seen one of these on the road

whats wrong with a tesla , made in california or thereabouts ,its got a top speed of 200 so they say. and battery technology is improving daily, you will soon be getting those roadtrains crossing the outback on a couple of 24 volt batteries and a few sheets of solar pannels . i read somewhere there is a solar powered vehicle competition that runs the full length of australia. john

Hey unc..see you got rosemary to give you a shot of her computer again. ..hybrid cars are getting better every year, charging the battery through kinetic energy with braking ect..

what puts me off the hybrid is the battery life and the cost of replacing them, but if you look at F1 and the technology as that progresses so will the ordinary family car as a lot of the technology used in motorsport will filter down on the common road car. They already have the 'E' series of motor racing all electric car as I see this will make a big impact on the future development on what we will be driving in the not to distance future unless they can come up with a viable fuel source

i can imagine supermarkets will get in on the act supplying free electricity to shoppers who spend above a certain level at the till, a large screen instore will inform the shopper when their vehicle is fully charged, a low battery to begin with will mean longer time at the shelves, and loaded trolleys. john
