Hi Group
I am planning on broadcasting the new Mallincam prototype CCD video camera on Night Skies Network tonight at around 10 pm EST if the weather holds out. The moon will not be an issue until around 12 am at 65% phase so a good 2 hour window of testing should be great. Conditions are calling for average transparency, humidity at 53% raising to 63% overnight, temperatures (cold front moved in) at 22C early evening to 14C overnight and winds at 20 km gusting to 30 km which will make guiding a challenge.
I am not going to discuss the new prototype camera in detail since Rock will reveal all information when he feels that the time is right. All I can say is I am super impressed with the cameras sensitivity and I am sure you will all be also. Hope you can all join me for a special show hopefully on NSN channel Astrogate.
