Hi,
Yes got a few various kits tri & quad, plus still and video camera gear, the whole lot, just short of time to make a start on one of them. One is an ARF, so that will be first, another is quite large and made to order by a firm in the USA who had to close because not enough orders, another is a Tri-Kit, a HAL Heavy Lift quad, and a couple ordinary kits. got all the parts for each one pilled in boxes downstairs in the electronics workshop-just waiting...
Still waiting for my Canon 1100D Mono DSLR from JTW which I ordered back in May... waiting, waiting, waiting...Also on the way is a new Mallincam SSI-L colour version, gets posted tomorrow. www.mallincam.net/solar-system-imager.htmlAnd I have ABC TV wanting me to be involved in a National Science Week project from my observatory, so you can see, time is in short supply.
Also been doing the 'Supermoon shots for the local press. Good PR for the National Science Week which starts this week-end.

I don't know how you do it Shevill, you seem to have a lots of things on the go, never still for a minute, I just get knackered pottering about, must be all that fresh air down under.
Yes he's done a few FPV's and also got fined for it for breaking the CAA rules at Alton Towers.
I've got a little nano X4 with 2mp camera on board but it flies nothing like the big one's, its not very steady outside slightest breeze and its all over place and range is about 30mts, just as well as you would not see it if it went out further.
having said that I can fly it better than my century uk 450 heli

I was into planes in the late 80's and 90's I had 5 including a quarter scale Sukhoi su26m which had me a coming together with it and me coming worse off needing 30 stitches just above the knee. I stumbled as I bent down to adjust the mixture and my leg hit the prop, it was like a knive cutting thru butter, didn't think nothing of it at first just that my leg hurt like hell and a tear in my jeans I was just about to get ready to take off and a guy said 'look at all the blood on your jeans' I looked down opened up the tear to have a look inside and nearly passed out when I saw my leg bone cant stand the sight of blood especially if its mine.

I fly planes, tris and quads however I quit multicopters last year. Just too many other hobbies. I was into FPV for awhile, but it was just too much, it consumed my time and money. So back to plain old pure line of site for me. Its just much easier to grab the controller the plane and a few batteries for an enjoyable time. All the FPV gear was just getting to be a pain, and hard for me to share with my son.
But that said, it is way cool. I enjoyed it while i did. USA regulations will be shutting it down soon anyway. As with anything fun!
