Hi all, here are a few shots from last night non processed. LN300, SW 150p and Moon/Skyglow filter via Sharpcap. The Ring was at X128 intragration. The Dumbell at X512 intragation. The Firework Galaxy at X512 and the first attempt at the Lagoon Nebula. After about an hour and a half the mount was losing tracking so had to stop short. There are a lot of settings in Sharpcap which are excellent for tweaking which I didnt realise until packing up time so will play on the next outing. The mount started trailing after awhile so never got the chance to go full X1024.
The last is M82 at X128

Fantastic results Carl!!! Your stars are really nice and sharp. I find the Lagoon a bit hard to see. Do you have a lot of light pollution? The whole frame looks a bit yellow. Might be better trying Lagoon at Zero Saturation. The colours in the others are great

The Lagoon was a challenge here but the worst was the mount playing up after a while even with perfect polar alignment maybe time to go for the EQ6

Might be better trying Lagoon at Zero Saturation. The colours in the others are great Lagoon needs a bit wider FOV also. Its fairly Dim also. You might see it better with more focal reduction. I barely get it all in my 80mm @ f3.8 Hemmi

Im convinced at a dark site and more tweaking I could vastly improve it but good old LP rules the roost at my location.

Really is a great wee cam for the money (if it works lol) Hi Chris its alive and well lol, I spent a lot of time on the menu and intructions (also the Mallincam micro instructions) over the last few months as its totally different to the Sammy heres what I found, If the AGC is off it is very noisey. When the AGC is on say at low. The 3 DNR kicks in. From what I can understand the 3 DNR is actually a self stacking thing from the camera itself. It has settings from one to five. So if you are at X1024 or 17 sec and the 3 DNR is at 5 it is effectively also stacking every 5th frame and the exposure is in therory 85 secs. I remember when you were testing your LN the changes took over a minute this is why lol. Overall you have to balance the exposure and the 3 DNR settings on the object or it will blow the object out of the water! The cam is extremely sensitive, I need to use a skyglow filter here or I couldnt go above x128 before overexposing. So over all I think it was LP causing the problem and the picture delays were down to the 3 DNR settings. Also it does need a good clean power source as cheap ones will show interference lines etc.
