Hello folks,
Back from holiday now and my Micro was sat waiting patiently for return. Sadly I can not yet do a review as I've not yet managed to get the thing working!! For some reason I can access the menu but can NOT get a picture of any kind. I have put a post on the Mallincam Yahoo Group and have had a couple of suggestions including one from Hemmi (Thanks Hemmi) but no joy yet. I am hoping it's something simple but fear the camera may have been damaged in transit. Hopefully I'll hear from Rock or Jack soon with a solution. If all is sorted today and it's clear later I'll do a broadcast with it tonight.

Karl I take it you've looked at the new manual on Rock's website with the step by step set up

Karl I take it you've looked at the new manual on Rock's website with the step by step set up Manual, what is this thing called a manual? Had a quick look but I guess I should read it properly and report back just assumed you would get an image or some sort of light at least once plugged in.

A white screen sound like overexposure,
Try lens = normal
AGC = off
Shutter = 1/10000 or more
And you have to save and exit for any changes not just exit.
Those are the basic settings same as the ln300.

Are you getting just a black screen? Hi Carl, i get get a black screen with a lens attached and a white screen without. Is that lens Auto Iris? (has a cable that plugs in camera). The auto iris plug on the Micro is for computer control, do not plug a lens up it might fry it. Use only manual lenses with the micro. If it does, the iris is closed unless plugged into camera, so yo will get a black screen. The whiteout without lens sounds normal too, just sounds like overexposure. Hemmi

Hi Lee, Tried it without plugging it in just in the house but plugged (power only) in the screen is black. Take the lens off and the screen is white and it's hard to make out the menu unless I turn down the brightness. If I get chance later I'll do a broadcast so if your about you can see. Failing that I'll get the HD on for a blast at the Moon but that will be late as it does not appear in my FOV until about 1.30 am

Okay I now have an image! I changed the Lens from ELECTR to DC IRIS and bingo! I think I need to do some reading up on this and get some practice with the settings. Thanks to all for the help and suggestions and hopefully one day the clouds will decide they have tormented me enough already and I'll get chance to try it out!
