VIDEO TUTORIAL - IR Filter Removal - SCB-4000 With the growing popularity of the Samsung SCC-A2333 and SCB-4000 cameras I have made a Video Tutorial of how to remove the factory fitted Infrared Filter from these cameras. The In-built filters in Security cameras (and even some AstroVideo cameras) have a cheap poor quality IR filter which is at the wrong Cut-Off point in the spectrum and will cancel out up to 30% of wanted light. The Samsung SCB-2000 & SDC-435 Camera's IR Filter comes out easily by undoing two screws, but the SCC-A2333 and the SCB-4000 have a very complicated mechanically driven worm-drive/Filter Frame setup. I made this video to help you though all the steps. Here is the Video: For Astro work you may want to add a proper high quality Imaging IR filter to the nosepiece. I use one of these with great success: www.astronomik.com/en/photographic-filters/l-filter.html If you need further help, please ask. Good Luck.
