Heinz (TokyoSky) is currently broadcasting the Full Moon. He is testing a camera that was suggested to him by Lee (Hemmi), and apart from all his struggles he is getting some really nice detail. here's a quick grab I just got of his show on now:

Yes Lee, Heinz had to go. At the start he had a lot of trouble mounting it. Ended up using stick-tape because the model he got isn't C/CS mount. Then he finally got it happening but for some reason the Moon was egg-shaped no matter what settings or resolutions were used. But the detail was magnificent. In this screen grab you can see how bad it is. I have placed an arrow where you can see the other limb of the Moon, showing how Egg-shaped it is!

In this screen grab you can see how bad it is. I have placed an arrow where you can see the other limb of the Moon, showing how Egg-shaped it is! The egg shape is because of a mismatch between resolutions between camera, grabber, and NSN is my guess. My suggestion to Heinz is to get a SDI to HDMI adapter and get the camera to work first with a monitor/TV. Then introduce the grabber. The problem is, If you change camera resolution to something the grabber can't understand, you loose picture and have no way to see the menu to change it back, basically bricking the camera But if you do this with a monitor attached you can at least see the menu and change it back. The Camera, FEBON grabber, and NSN should all be set to 720p for best picture IMO. The menu in Heinz camera is different than mine, as he bought a different camera than mine. My camera does not have this egg shape issue, and I use the same grabber as heinz, so it has to be a configuration mismatch somewhere. Here is my moon with my SDI camera

Heinz tried to change it to 720p, and every time he tried, it crashed.
Need him to join here so you can help him.

Heinz tried to change it to 720p, and every time he tried, it crashed. Need him to join here so you can help him. It crashed because the febon grabber was not set at 720p probably (this must be set in AMCap). Hence why I suggested he use a monitor to verify 720p works then get the grabber to work after. an SDI to HDMI adapter is fairly cheap, about 36 USD. As for the mount, this adapter should work for his cam, www.firstlightoptics.com/adaptors/125-nosepiece-to-webcam-lens-thread-toucam-pro-spc900nc.htmlRegards, Hemmi
