Hi chris welcome to the forum..true video forum mmmm heard it caused a stir somewhere ..we do our bit but was getting a bit confusing with new software controlling imaging cameras but we think we have made the correct call on it...sometimes hard putting labels to things but the mods are in agreement of our policies and we have a suggestion board now for input from members to keep the forum up todate with latest technology and thier views on changing aspects of the forum

Very nice Chris wish I had skies like that!! Thank you Carl but trust me my skies are terrible. I live in Toronto Canada's largest city with 6 million people and on a very good night my skies are mag 4.25 at best. The night I captured these images there was a lot of haze and high humidity in the air at about 90% so transparency was just below average. Also the moon was up very close at about 5 degrees from M16 & M17, however, that was my purpose for using the Orion 7nm Ha filter. I owe these excellent observation sessions to having a really good sensitive camera (MCX2), excellent software (Miloslick) that allows for real-time stacking, very good guiding and mount Losmandy G11, a fantastic scope (VRC10") at a fast focal ratio and the 6 + years I have been at this. It is a very fun hobby that can be very rewarding and I truly enjoy it.
Cheers,
Chris A Astrogate
