Went along to my local astro club tonight, temp was down to 0 to -1c but I was nicely wrapped up, in my thermal 2 piece long johns, fleece pants, 2 jumpers, fleece jacket and 2 coats on top and my furry hat [must keep the bald head warm] I walked around like the Michelin man. Anyway set everything up, had quite a few people gathering round to look at my new mount as they never seen one before. fired up the cam, did the moon first and some of the hard liners dslr imaging members come over and they were quite surprised how it was working , 1 or 2 comes out with the usual tosh about the quality is not as good as their images, but what p&ss%d them off was when I went onto the dso's and said ''can you do that in 8 secs'' that shut them up. But 2 of the top imager's were really impressed with it and kept coming back every so often to have a look and asking questions. The cold weather took it out on my laptop only managed 90mins before it died on me usually at normal temps I can get 3+hrs out of it. Just before the laptop died I tried the CR6 cam with the 200mm slr lens on the other side of the mount and what I noticed the white balance was way out again. I'd noticed this before but thought I've not saved it in the settings. I'm getting a bright green tint all over the screen as I turn up the sens-up,starts off at 2x and gets brighter the higher I go. might be a faulty cam not saving the white balance but the other settings where right. So I packed up, couldn't be bothered to do visual.

Sounds like you had fun John. And glad you showed the imagers just how easy it can be done I dont think i would ever stand out in the cold all night taking pictures that i cant see till ages later when im packed up and back inside. On the CR6 problem. That sounds odd. I know the ln300 will revert any changes that are not saved after a short time. But if you defo saved it then i think you have a problem. Doubtful.... but it is possible that you set the colour when not attched to the slr lens and adding that lens with mad coatings or something on it changes the colour nah?

Johnno I notice the slight green tint but only when ranked up to X256 0r Full. I posted a thread on SGL Samsung 200p vs CR6 as a comparison of M1.
Nice to hear you impressed the imagers!

John, I wonder, does the camera menu have 'SAVE' before you leave the menu? I have sometimes forgotten to press SAVE on my sammy 4000. I just go to the X box and click that which closes the Menu without saving. Yeah, we have to explain it to the Imagers that this is instant gratification not next day Processing Blues

Ken, I've definitely saved it, the first time maybe not but the last 2 times yes. It could be the slr lens causing it. Next clear night i'll try it again. One lad as got his head so far up his ass you just cant get through to him about live view, but one bloke is a top notch imager, written 2 books on it and goes round the country giving talks on it and I have a sneaky feeling he might get a cam, he wanted to know the in's and out of the cam, model, where I bought it so on. he told me he was looking forward to seeing it in action as I've posted a few times on our forum about it.
Carl, this green looks like lime green really weird. A lot brighter than your shots
