Some promisingly clear(ish) evenings, followed by inexorable and thickening high cloud buildup. But finally, from 20min of relative clarity (still drifting clouds from time to time): M61 and friends. 8"/F4 Newt (100 x 10.24s) WAT120N+ Registaxed (with dark subtraction for a change!) then pummeled brutally in ancient graphic prog! A barred spiral with two companion galaxies (top left and right) - Probably responsible for the tortured look of M61? An interesting target to revisit under better skies? More so than my usual "frogspawn" open clusters. Collimation of F4 Newt still needs tweaking. lol. But at least such things are now possible, due to substituted stronger springs on the primary. I now suspect the placement of the primary marker!

Nice image. I'll have to have a try at M61 when I can get a chance.
I'll be looking forward to some more images from you.
What do you use for post processing? PS, Gimp, pixinsight?

Yes, it's good to get the "hardware development" (spending!) out of the way. You are all very (perhaps too?) kind - An image not without faults. lol. Mainly (again) limited range of greys. But I genuinely find, with any "adversity", 8-bits is not much to play with... Am taking more note of the "histogram" of incoming data now! The software? An (ahem) "cover disk" version 2.0 (1999!) of Macromedia Fireworks. Now an Adobe product and at version 8.n! But it does "Levels" and "Curves" in the same style as Photoshop. I see, with chagrin, that it is to be "discontinued" too? So I WILL anyway have to look for some pukka image processing software soon. It still surprises me (in genuine and good way!) what VIDEO Astronomy can "dig out of the murk" though...
