Be cool if they all posted! Even just a hello from time to time so we know they are still interested

That might be pushing it a bit ken..but I agree with you its a forum why join a forum if your not going to talk..ok I can see it from a newbie prospective of gaining knowledge in the hobby but a wee hello or an intro is nice and this is such a friendly and helpful forum and the regular posters never blank any questions if we dont know ..we search our resources and post our findings. .also if we make a mistake or a bad buy we post it so others dont make same mistakes. .this is one honest forum with some of the best folk in the world contributing to it and I am proud to be associated to it..davy

Be cool if they all posted! Even just a hello from time to time so we know they are still interested Hello Still interested! Unfortunately I don't get a lot of time to participate in forums, not even the one my employer sponsors. But... reading forums is interesting and can be done easily so many will read, feel they're a part of it but unfortunately not necessarily post much. Lurkers usually outnumber active members by at least 10 to 1. That said, just as soon as I get some real time out with my camera I'll no doubt post more... Congrats on the 100th member. Hopefully sooner than we think we'll be talking about the 1000th member James

Still only at 99 ...1000 members lol maybe in five years when video astronomy kicks off more..im happy if the forum just has a flow of posts just to keep it interesting. .not even six month in and I think its a step in the right direction wont replace sgl because its an out and out complete astronomy forum with a wealth of members posting in various aspects of astronomy but as a dedicated video astronomy forum were doing ok..davy

About another 50% are readers. The other 40% rarely return. That's pretty much the way it is across the whole internet. As long as people get something out of the Forum
