thanks everybody for wishing me a happy 21st birthday [cough-cough]. "seriously though" what i really, really wanted from the boss was a small workshop to rent, to potter about in, she was ok with that until i added a 2 gallon tea urn, a coffee maker, a 50 inch tv , and a parker knoll reclining chair, "your on to plums" she said. its her birthday this week and i am away out to buy her a box of maltesers [chocolates] uncle john.

Workshop sounds brilliant. .bit expensive out your way..some nice units out my way..and if it was a dark place ideal for the scope...n ive a load of tools that could go in it...getting carried away now thinking it was my birthday lol

'RENT' a workshop? Haven't you got a shed in the backyard? Turn that into your man cave

yes ken ,there is a tiny hut,its got a three legged stool, which i go out and sit on when i,m in trouble with the boss, i need 20 x 20 =400 square feet with an overhead travelling crane, ,and the reclining chair,to contemplate building perpetual motion /anti gravity machines ,and room for a de-lorean car, but thats all in the future. dreams to keep us ticking over.

Do you have the room to build a 20 x 20 shed in your back yard? Might end up cheaper than renting one. And you won't have to travel to it

ken, it would be great if we had room at the back, but the congestion is severe.4 houses in the 1 block in a built up area of the city,i can almost hear the neighbours thinking,[they cant hear me cause my brain is not that active] we're 1 level up, and this is the reason for my really slow progress in astro everything, i think the campervan is the way out of this dilemma,to get away to darker areas not hemmed in by buildings.i made a small ramp assembled from sub units to get the scope from the van to the tripod.there are 4 wheels on my wagon[sorry-wedge]this contained within the ramp to prevent toppling, manhandling these scopes out in the open gets exciting sometimes. i've asked young davy to make a video of it some free weekend. the setup might encourage less agile[like myself] heavy scopers on to the road. i'll need a flight case like the roadies use at big music gigs to cushion the scope in the van, another home job, anyway its great listening in to your radio traffic , a lot of it is quite deep in the subject. uncle john.

Ahhh, that makes sense John. Inner-city living No, I don't suppose it would be easy to get space for a shed.
