Hello Chaps,
I have never really managed to get a decent balance with my mount and the more I add to the kit the more difficult it becomes! Anyway, I been told that part of the issue was the view finder on the side of the OTA which for me is quite heavy as it has a camera attached and my laser. Anyway I was told that I needed to counter this weight so I made of this!
I bought the ADM part from FLO for £22 but the rest is just scrap Alli from my local yard (amazing place!) which I bought for £6. I believe you can get the complete kit for about £100 ish so this way will save you a fair bit!
For me it does not seemed to have helped much and I'm resided to the fact I'm going to have to accept near as damn it for now. However, I thought I'd post as for another set up it might work a treat!

Nice work and a great savings. Hope you get the weight and balance worked out. I see you're in Bedfordshire, my wife and I lived in Bedford in the late 70's, I was in the US Air Force and stationed at RAF Chicksands. Some really great sky there at that time. Thanks Dave. Chicksands is round the corner for me and I often take the dog over there for walks. It is a littler darker over there and I plan to set up there one day I just need to find the right spot! Hope you enjoyed your time here
