Good luck with this one Lee. It would prove to be very useful. I have a DSLR controller which is very similar and wondered if the Mallincam version is just repurposed as you say. The main difference between the 2 is just the connecter on the cable.

Someone else had said that they don't like the controller, a bit difficult to see in the dark, I wonder if you could change the led's in it to red like a mount hand controller or put a dab of red paint on them?

maybe the pro owners should ask Rock if there is a better alternative controller out there

Not being an electronics whiz, I fail to see why the exposure on the pro is not controlled with the software like the other mallincams are.
Ok, stupid question...........Lee, have you tried the pro just using the exposure control in Miloslick.?? Does it work without using the remote timer.??
I will try myself, but need a clear spell to test it.

I mocked up the circuit on a breadboard. Now to write the software, but coming along nicely! Basic test of the circuit work fine, such as the rs232 and the transistor switch. A basic sketch program allowed me to control the shutter just fine on my DSLR. Now to interface it with miloslick and get that working. This looks great Lee and very useful. Don't suppose this could be done to control a camcorder?

Don't tell me, you have bought an MCX and sold the pro.

Don't tell me, you have bought an MCX and sold the pro. nope, not trying to be mysterious. Just that my reasoning will be clear soon.
