I enjoyed the show lee, despite the problems. Thats a decent M51 you got. Shame I had to sleep and missed it. If you screw up the background colour, add a bit of noise and masses of interference lines, it could have looked like my attempt on saturday night.

These were not my best shots, for some reason some of my captures didnt save. I had 3 min x 3 stack of M51 that was incredible, but it didnt save. I need to start making sure these save, as I'm so bummed about loosing some of my best from last night. Also lost a much better m42

Looking great hemmi!
On the saving thing... I cant remember what settings i used in Miloslick but the last time i was using it i was recording some things and noticed that if i was recording the moon or jupiter it would make a avi video. But if i was doing DSO stuff at say 30 sec exposure... it wouldnt save a long avi video of 30 secs...it would just save a pic every 30 seconds. Meaning you could just basically leave it on record the full night and it will capture everything without taking up much space.

Good looking images.
I'm looking forward to someone imaging the Yoda head nebula (aka Thor's Helmet)
