I made another attempt at NGC4945 in Centaurus tonight but the foggy conditions just made it frustrating, but I thought I'd still post an image anyway, just to show what I got Canon 6D, 200mm f/5 Newtonian, no filters. 6 x 200 seconds at 800 iso stacked in Sequator, brightness and sharpening in PhotoShop. NGC 4945 - Great Edgewise Spiral in Centaurus
I also tried Coma Berenices Galaxy Cluster but it was pretty much a washout Labelled in Astometrics

Looks great Ken. After you stack it, how much better does photoshop make it? Also, 200 secs is a long exposure. Any guiding required?
Next clear night , I will have a shot at 4945. it looks like a good target cheers Paul

Most astrophotographers have very blank images even after hours of imaging. Then after stacking, Photoshop acts like a magician. It's not cheating because the data is there, you just can't see it until it gets processed. 200 seconds is only 3 minutes & 20 seconds
