These are brilliant, Ken! I've been thinking about trying to use my 450D (with IR filter removed) for Video. It's hard to not just grab my IMX224, honestly.

Yes Rick, enjoy the 450d. It's a great camera. I'm enjoying the 6d, but it has a steep learning curve after using a 350d and a 450d. And the full frame will take some getting used to. You really don't need to remove the IR filter in your 450d. Even though the removal helps with capturing way more H-alpha it creates other problems (lack of star colour, everything turns red) but the mod is popular with people who want to get lots of Emission Nebula and don't fuss over stars. Me, I can forgo some nebula to get true colour stars Each to their own.

I didn't have much success with the software but that was 3-4 years ago. I was watching one of your YouTube videos with the 450D and it was inspiring!
