Had another go at guiding with the ASIair pro a couple of nights ago. The guiding seemed to work ok. I just followed the youtube instructions of Peter Zelinka and all went well My problems start after that. I did 10 x 5 min exposures which are saved to usb as individual fits files. These then have to be stacked on DeepSkyStacker and then post processed on Star Tools. I dont think I am cut out to do all that work. StarTools is said to be user friendly ,but I am not having any success with it at all. I downloaded sequator for stacking but it does not deal with fits files Just so I have something to show, here is one of the 5 min exposures saved as a fits the converted to jpeg a bit of detail lost in the compression. No stacking and No post processing Equipment. Esprit80 with Starizona Apex .65 focal reducer giving the scope F3.25 ,zwo 183, guide scope sbony 30 F4 with zwo 224 camera ASIair pro and EQmod connection to HEQ5 mount, Ipad with wifi to ASIair. The polar alignment is straight forward and the plate solving works very well. The scope slews to the DSO and then plate solves to centre it. This is excellent And the guiding is straight forward as long as I follow instructions I just dont like waiting 5 minutes for an image and am not yet ready to spend ages on post processing. I guess that will come. I have purchased Startools so I may as well learn to use it cheers Paul

This was my first attempt at guiding a couple of weeks ago .I wasnt sure this first time whether I had the guide settings correct or not but each 5 minute image seemed to be ok This was only one of the 10 x 5 min images of the Tarantula . Same problems as above with DeepSkyStacker and Star Tools. Didnt stack them and didnt post process. same equipment cheers Paul
