If the Moon is a problem for imaging DSO's . . . . then, image the Moon So I did. Testing out another new telescope. I've gone from a 150mm Reflector up to a 200mm Reflector. Canon 450d, CLS filter, Backyard EOS capture software. Camera settings: Long exposure imaging (not Planetary) 1/2000th second x 10 frames. Stacked in Sequator. Processed in PhotoShop.
