Yep, there sure was Davy. It rocked me back and forth in bed for about 15 seconds and the house was creaking and groaning. Quite scary but exciting at the same time Some buildings in Melbourne received quite a bit of damage. Brick walls falling onto footpaths etc. Mike also said he felt it, but that is understandable seeing as he only lives around the corner from me Tim is a member in here and he lives about 130 kilometres closer to the epicentre than me. He would have felt it much worse! www.abc.net.au/news/2021-09-22/melbourne-earthquake-victoria-nsw-canberra/100481780

Thanks Davy. It appears that even though this earthquake was felt as far away as Sydney', Adelaide, and Tasmania, that's an area about the size of Europe, only one person was hurt.

Here's what the latest TV news report says:
"Few injuries were reported but at least one man, in his 70s, was hospitalised after suffering upper-body injuries when the parts of a weather shield fell down and hit him. The Mount Eliza man was taken to Frankston Hospital in a stable condition, but experts say it could have been much worse."
Let's hope he is OK, and yes, this could have been FAR worse!

I just felt another small earthquake/Tremor about 1 hour ago but thought I was imagining it. Nope, it just came up on the USGS Earthquake site. 4.9 about the same distance as the last one but in the opposite direction. Weird because Australia rarely gets anything over about 2.5 and here we have 2 biggies within weeks of each other.
