It was so clear at the start of this month even a single frame worked out well. Here is an example of single 5 minute frame of Trifid.

That is great ,Mike. Such a clear image. Those refractors do a great job. That was with the 120, yeah? I just had a peak outside and it is clear skies,no moon. This is the best it has been for months and I missed it. At 5pm it was spitting rain. We are in the middle of lockdown, Nothing better to do than drink red wine and I missed a great opportunity cheers Paul

Equipment used is a SW ED80, Canon 450d, camera’s software control is BackyardEOS.
Last night 27/8/21 Ken and I discovered how to activate the Ascom Telescope Control feature in BackyardEOS. This feature has control for slewing/tracking, also updating RA, DEC, ALT and AZ co-ordinates. This feature is for fine adjustments on your target,
I use SynScan Pro with Cartes du Ciel for acquiring the target, often Cartes du Ciel does not interact with the mount and SynScan Pro. When the BackyardEOS Ascom Telescope Control was activated I tried connecting to Cartes du Ciel again and got a good connection to the mount. It appears all the software previously mentioned interact together.

A really nice wide shot with the bonus of M21 perched at the upper right.

Top stuff Mike, I remember that night. Wow, it was one of the clearest nights in months, if not years. No exaggeration! Mike captured several frames so it will be good to see the final stacked image
