for the astroberry software ,,visit..astroberry server website and download,, its a big file unzip the file. he file now needs o be flashed ( no copied and pasted like i done ) download belena etcher to flash the software to the micro sd card.. dead easy to use the file flashes to the card and then it verifies. over to old stash Ok just put in the Astroberry SD card into RPI nothing attached except power. 1. start RPI wait a couple of minutes for it to start up all its application threads and processors 2. REALVNC connect to RPI via HOTSPOT address - e.g. 10.42.0.1 3. Start Chrome on RPI 4. type in chrome address box 5. Press START - do not press "connect" button on 2nd page of Web browser 6. Does left hand side of Web page show a little panel? IF that fails :- I am assuming that to use your phone to get connected to the Internet you use Wired connection ? IF not what do you do ? Start a command line and type sudo apt update - wait for it to complete then type sudo apt upgrade - wait for it to complete type sudo apt update again - nothing should happen as all should be up to date. Reboot the RPI and repeat steps 1 - 5

I've, had problems keeping a steady vnc connection between the laptop and the raspberry pi,, swapped over to my plastic cover and no further problems,, the metal of the casing or the fan operating disrupting the WiFi signal.
