I've been following a couple of mates over on CN who are the usual ones pushing the envelope. They have been trying out ASTAP. May be of use to the rasp Pi and Linux, Mac users out there as the link below is to the many versions available .... where you see they have Pi, Linux, Windows, and iOS versions. In that link if you click documentation you will see in one package it does live stacking (!) and platesolving and many other things. I've not used it. Just putting it in AVF forums just so someone can find it and have a read and might suit their Pi / small compute chip processor. www.hnsky.org/astap.htm

Yes I use it on windows and Linux - also use it to Platesolve - very fast platesolve (near) but can be a bit hit and miss according to your exposure,the night sky etc. Mine is via DSLR so maybe different with CCD
