LOL (not at you just the situation) - You will never see the profile maker for Astroberry - you can ONLY see it thru a Web Browser. So
Either start chrome on RPI and goto 127.0.0.1
or
Start Web browser on Laptop and go to the IP address of the RPI
Either method should then show the Astroberry Web Site on the RPI and ALSO show you the "Panel" on the left AFTER you click START.
Best of luck Davy.

Ok
1. can you press F5 when you get the network error ?
2. On your Laptop do you join the RPI Wireless network (Astroberry) - so IP address of RPI would be something like 10.42.0.1
3. The image used on RPI is the downloaded full image with no updates ,edits or other scripts run - yes ?
4. Do you have a home network to which you can connect your RPI too via Wired rj45 cable - doesn't need to have Internet connection
5. You should NOT have any Astro hardware connected at this stage as we are trying to get the simple interface up and running first - so unplug everything on RPI except for power LOL
6. What power supply are you using to the RPI - Std Rapberry Organisaion 5v 3.5amp ?
VNC does NOT need to be disabled to access Astroberry via Web Browser.
I think as your network set up , on your Laptop, is unusual as most people use broadband via a fixed router it could be causing problems. Having said that the access via Chrome(running on RPI) on the RPI should work if the image is ok.

Just to satisfy my nagging thoughts use format so from RPI - if that fails try again on RPI. Latter can also be tried on laptop. On your screen printed that you posted I noticed you had 2 TABs in chrome - was the first tab just the default asking to go online to google or something?

Ok just put in the Astroberry SD card into RPI nothing attached except power. 1. start RPI wait a couple of minutes for it to start up all its application threads and processors 2. REALVNC connect to RPI via HOTSPOT address - e.g. 10.42.0.1 3. Start Chrome on RPI 4. type in chrome address box 5. Press START - do not press "connect" button on 2nd page of Web browser 6. Does left hand side of Web page show a little panel? IF that fails :- I am assuming that to use your phone to get connected to the Internet you use Wired connection ? IF not what do you do ? Start a command line and type sudo apt update - wait for it to complete then type sudo apt upgrade - wait for it to complete type sudo apt update again - nothing should happen as all should be up to date. Reboot the RPI and repeat steps 1 - 5 If religious PRAY else cross fingers, legs etc - keep cans of larger as final back up plan.
