FINALLY we got some clear sky!!!! It's been around 6 months! So I couldn't resist trying the IMX178 in my ED80 instead of in the 6" Achro it has been living in. The Achro gave mediocre results so I wanted to see if the ED80 was up to the job with this camera. It was a reasonable result Only a UV/IR cut filter was used with a 0.5x Focal Reducer. I need to play with the settings a bit more in RisingSky to improve on the images but here's what I got. They're not great, but they aren't terrible either They are all unprocessed single frames.
