Hi guys,, here is one to ponder and debate over 😁
Looking to get a video camera for doing drumming tutorials and going to pipe band competitions ect I bought erm a wee crap one for about £30 second hand and Even thought it had not bad reviews,,, it's mince as we would say in Scotland
So was looking at a bit better one,, more professional job.and you can get a canon xl2. Had a look at some utube videos ect and the spec on the lens alone is pretty cheeky,, flourite lens ect.. Check out some videos on utube,, I think it could be viable for some Astronomy work with a bit of manipulation in astrotoaster ... Anyhow at top is a moon capture with it and it looks pretty decent,, CAn pick one of these up for £300
Yes I'm a crazy mixed up kid and thinking out the box again

What I find interesting is that even though the camera has excellent professional quality, the 'You Tube' video quality is terrible. It does nothing for promoting the product! Hopefully people don't think that is the quality of the camera.

My thinking behind this camera. And it's speculation 😂 That it could not mounted to say heq5 ,,film the night sky,, take the footage and feed it into astrotoaster. The quality of the lens and it's zoom impressed me,, flourite lens,, as good as a ed quality scope or no a kick n the backside off off it,, Frame rate ,not bad. Think the thing going for it is,,, it's professional grade rather than a basic camcorder.. definitely thinking about it
I know I won't buy another Astronomy camera,, just can't justify the cost to amount I've got out ,, that's why I got the new canon 4000d,, Think with this xl2 it's so close it could still be a miss,, but then we've seen Astronomy cameras that fall short as well. But it's a dam good camera for £300 delivered
