Had the mount a few hours now and can start the review.
Mount comes in one box,, double boxed as per usual Skywatcher standards
The mount takes 8 pencil batteries.
Not supplied
Snap cable for dslr does come with kit,,
Tripod light weight but not as flimsy as stated in other posts I've read elsewhere, just a light portable mount
The mount head is very compact.
Easily stored in a camera backpack for grab n go set up.
So I tried batteries in mount,, tried to link to mobile phone,, took me five minutes.. just to figure out,,, user manual useless 😀
Slew speed slow,, I did manage to get it sped up,, don't ask how,, just fluked it.
The app works good,, no issues with its operation.
Now the bad
User manual utter crap,, it's a brief skip over of features in my humble honest opinion..
Now it appears the snap mode can only work by adding a synscan handset,, I'm saying this because it's similar to the allview control,, but no reference in user manual,,
But 😀 they supply a cable,. Get a grip Skywatcher.
So they supply a extension tube to increase hight,, ok fine with that
Now at a 5kg load limit you would think it was developed as a mount for light weight scopes or a camera,,,, so why no camera mount,, come on,, who at Skywatcher thinks all this up,,
Mount looks great and looks a winner but totally missed the boat on a shure fire wining piece of kit.
Website,,waste of time checking for mount info,, one week after launch and no info,, shocking and embarrassment to them
Sent a message on Facebook,, didn't even approve post..
Shocking,, were paying customers and expected folk to part with money without relevant info,, 😣
