Weather has been dreadful the last few days and the forecast for the days to follow is not much better! Therefore there was only one thing for it, head for the man shed! I've now made another dodgy bracket to attach my electric focuser to the new ED80. I've also made all the cables needed so I can use it like the other one for the C11 from my office. Cables tested and all good so all I need to do now is add the RJ11 modules to the internal/external sockets and bob's your uncle!
Now I know it's not precision engineering or pretty but it works and a lick of paint will soon sort the aesthetics!!

I thought they came with the brackets and all the fittings. I would of drilled about 6 holes in that bracket by the time I would of got it lined up
Yep nice man shed,

Thanks guys, my wife named it the man shed as I can sometimes spend too much time in there! It's actually my garage thought which I have added some workbenches too and a few tools. I did this about 2 years ago when I had grand plans to build a 20" Obsession styled Dob. Might still do one day or bigger as I do like making things!
The electric focuser does come with brackets Johnno but what they fit god only knows! I've had to make two now but it's just some scrap aluminium with a few holes and very simple.

must be a different fitting on the Equinox compared to the normal ED80 Yeah I think it is Johnno, the Equinox is very similar to the Revelation focuser I have on the C11, probably made by the same company I'd suspect.

Thanks Hemmi, compared to your DIY skills my brackets are play school homework! You have to start somewhere, You should see some of the abortions I have produced in the past. Either way you got it done!
