For video astronomy, Celestron Nexstar mounts have a feature called Precise Goto that gives much more accurate slews than the normal Goto function. Here's a tutorial (note that your "Menu" key may be different than the video states. My 130SLT's "Menu" key is #7). Precise Goto will usually put the object in the camera's field of view. You'll want to make sure your finder is well aligned with the scope so you can more easily pick out the desired star:
