I am in the process of making a scope buggy. I need a way to simplify setup time. I have tons of cables, battery, etc to drag out and hook up. It takes me an hour to set everything up. So I started looking at wheelie bars and scope buggies. Then WOW what a sticker shock, no way I'm paying that much for what is essentially the same parts as radio flyer wagon.
Not to mention the weak looking levelers. I want a solution so I can keep the mount permanently mounted and sturdy enough for long exposure. So I decided to make my own. This is a work in progress.
Pics and more to come!

Have a chat with uncle john ( scope mobile) he is your man for stuff like that ..should see his camper van mod for his 12" lx90..clyde built. .is the expression up here..made a custom adapter plate to fit on tripod that has stability legs fitted to it..the tripod then has like a rail line to back of camper van..the scope and fork is mounted on a bogey carriage and wheeled on to tripod and mechanicaly lowered right on top of mount to fixing bolt..the rails can be removed and camper van parked out of the way..not saying its faster but for a one man operation its a doddle. .unc would enjoy that lol...

The rear axel is solid 5/8 tempered steel inside a 3/4" squared steel tube. The center section is 1.5" angle iron. Tonight I will weld up the front wheel mount and weld on the levelers. Hope to have it done and painted by Sat. Only have about 3 hour of work into it at this point. Here is a pic so far:

come on hemmi, a big lad like you can throw that whole setup on the back of your shoulders in one go and carry it a couple of hundred meters without getting a sweat on. That's being dam right lazy.
ps.. are you taking any orders nice work....there's enough room for a little electric motor

Ok I'm 95% done with my buggy. I still need to paint it, get 5/8 wing nuts, and leveling bolt handles but im happy with it.

Very cool hemmi! Will save you loads of time! Better make sure the wheels are locked... a gust of wind and your scope is off down the hill
