Soon as I saw it I though wow that is cool Chris! Imagine wearing those with our cameras and scopes Then I saw the Resolution is only 320 x 240 Would be excellent if they were 640 x 480 but then they would cost a lot more.

Lol Karl just had a look at Oculus Rift... That looks amazing! Well actually 'it looks' like you need to wear a security light on your face... but it sounds amazing! Couldnt see a price tho...too much to show i guess

I use similar ones for flying drones. They are good for that purpose. But do not get these for astronomy, the color and contrast are shat. I have tried many over the years of drone flying and none produce good contrast or colors. Just my 2 cents

Nice to get an opinion from someone who has used these glasses.

Imagine the oculus rift also connected to scope control so it moved with head movements!
FYI oculus rift will be huge in the near future.

Yes this is is going to be massive for sure and they are making the competition like Sony nervous. This naturally will put the pressure on for other companies to follow suit. The best part of this is the price is being kept reasonable and affordable to the average man in the street. Estimates when the final production is available are at around £400 as apposed to thousands!! Virtual reality astronomy is very much on my mind for the future as it would be mind blowing!

Once i have this i will be content! With all the new motion sensors and things that come with the new generation of games consoles this surley wouldnt be too unreasonable to ask for! And Karl 400 quid is much cheaper than i thought it would have been!

They will make their money from the gaming companies.

I ended up buying the glasses from the first post for a laugh Got them for £35 so not too bad. Not tried them out properly yet but i connected them to the dvr output (only 1 cam attached) and they do work...just seem pretty crap haha! Screen on it is tiny. And i was struggling to read the names of each cam when i had it on the 4-way view. Will try them again with more cams attached next time. Also they are poorly designed as they dont block out any light coming in from the sides.

Don't want to burst your bubble, but how are you going to see your camera controls, scope controls and keyboard while you view. No good for nsn.

Nice one Chris, perhaps not great but they do work. So question is how good would a decent 3d set be??? Interesting....
