Saw on the news record rains and flooding in the States. Darn global warming!
Ummmmm ... whats the deal when you say LED meters for V, A, etc ... "especially when balancing scopes" ... Huh? Do you balance your kit by watching meters and 'strain' on the RA and DEC motors or something?
cheers

Plan on piggybacking a 120 SkyWatcher ED Pro on the 12" SCT on a LX850 Starlock mount.

Can you explain the measurement of balance. Do you measure motor current (or total current to the mount) when changing scope direction ?

Can you explain the measurement of balance. Do you measure motor current (or total current to the mount) when changing scope direction ? I will measure the rotation RA and Dec after balancing by manual means by monitoring the current in the up and down, side to side of the mount. Then fine tune/balance the wts to as close as possible to the change/load in amps versus the change in the movement/direction load on that motor/gear train. Purhased from Amazon, has internal shunt for amps depending on which model you buy.
