hope everybody has recovered and calmed. a close one. i remember watching a "horizon" documentary 20 years ago about a city in midwest america, the city fathers had made a law requiring all new build housing to have a sprinkler in every room, the beauty of this system was the water mist produced by the micro jet on the sprinkler, the equivalent of a cup of water put out the flames. the mist suffocated the flame.no water damage occurred compared with the standard fitting which flooded the place out.[accidental flooding may be the reason owners are reticent about installing the standard system],i thought this idea would take off in the uk , but the powers that be must be wearing blinkers. john.
