Please find attached my documentation on using the CE Labs AV-400SV distribution amplifier for splitting my video signal to multiple destinations. I'm really happy with this device; it's worked flawlessly for me so far. --Rick

Rick, what is the difference between this unit being Amplified and a normal unpowered splitter?
I use a simple unpowered splitter and I don't see any degradation of signal when I use 2 or 3 viewing monitors and a PC at the same time.

Ken,
I'm impressed that you are not seeing any degradation of your video signal. Usually, even with short cable lengths, there is some degradation of signal because non-powered splitters use ground loops, etc. Hence an amplified distribution device.

p.s. I tried to post this as a PDF attachment and the forum split it into 4 images and attached it to my post.
Is there a way to have the forum accept a PDF attachment? I think this would be good for both this forum and Mallincam's.

I read up on attachments in the Admin Area Rick and the only way to allow PDF's etc is to again allow direct attachments into the Forum and that is a bad idea in this case. Why? Because this is a free Forum we only get a limited amount of storage space and it isn't very much. We only get 200 Mb. Once the storage is full no-one can post until either the some Attachments are removed or we pay a monthly fee for some more space. Also, as soon as we allow attachments, that's when people start posting their images as attachments and the amount of space will run out in a matter of days. It's only a small amount we get. That's why we have Image attachments off-site through postimage.org. When this forum first started it filled up in about a week, so Carl set it up to post attachments off-site, and had to remove some of the attachments already posted so we could post again. That's how these free forums make their money People get fed up running out of space and pay for more.

Understood, Ken, makes total sense.
Maybe time to change from PDF manual to InfoGraphic.
