First time I have made the front page.
Article promoting astronomy and the solar system, plus a large range of DVD's to collect by Prof. Brian Cox & Sir David Attenborough. Great to see a front page newspaper article about science-astronomy in this instance, makes a nice change from sports & politics.
Top marks to the Hobart Mercury newspaper 24-7-15. This article coincides with the announcement of the new discovery of an earth-like planet-TV news this morning.
This is what I was doing yesterday at very short notice with my little EQ6 pier mounted 10" Meade Schmidt-Newtonian yesterday, next to the main Southern Cross Observatory. They wanted an outdoor shot with blue skies, so I had just the setup. This is part of my open space systems, there is a TeleTrack and AstroTrack AG on a pier, an all sky Nikon D300 DSLR inside a housing setup on another pier, a SkyWatcher Astro Bundle full EQ mount on its pier, and the Meade SN-10. I have almost finished building the run off shed for the EQ^-Meade SN-10, which I hope to remotely control (the scope that is) Just waiting for a wireless gizzmo to control the EQ6 from my Android tablet via Sky Safari. I can control it with the iPad but my better half uses the iPad all the time instead of a PC. I will post some pics of the outdoor systems soon.
I am also working on the big hydroponics polyhouse, but this really cold weather has slowed things down, impossible to handle thick agricultural plastic when it is so cold.Clear Skies... Shevill

Well done again Shevill. Yes, the Sunday Herald Sun is also including those DVD's by Prof. Brian Cox & Sir David Attenborough. www.discoverearth.com.au/heraldsun/map.htmlProblem is, there's no shops open on Sundays around here and the nearest shop that sell the Sunday Herald Sun (a Melbourne newspaper) is 32 kilometers away, and they don't keep Sunday Papers for sale on Mondays (I've tried before). I will contact Herald Sun and see if I can buy them through the mail. And I agree, it's nice to see a Front page with no doom and gloom and murder and war. It's refreshing EDIT: My wife just found how to buy the collection - $56.30 She said she will send away for it on Monday
