Hi all! I found my old RF modulator I used more than 10 years ago to connect DVD player to my parents old CRT TV. I tried to connect my LN300 camera to my modern TV set through it and it works perfectly! I am glad I hadn't discarded it. My LN300 by the way is an NTSC model (sent to me by mistake? did the manufacturer run out of PAL cameras? anyway I kept it) and it shows color fine. So my question is: Has anybody tried to sent video signal to a TV set with an RF modulator through coaxial cable? (for example to a big TV inside the house). What's the longest distance I can send the signal though coaxial cable? It will be more than through an RCA cable I guess... Thank you in advance for your answers! :) Hi, I have sent composite video over a full drum roll of coax cable, hundreds of feet. Use good quality cable and connectors. I had a very long run outdoors so bought waterproof video cable and gold plated connectors. Regards, Shevill

Giorgos,
all 3 video cables can be run very long distances: Composite (RCA), Coaxial, and Svideo.
It's USB that sucks at distance.

Thank you for your kind replies guys! I wonder if PAL equipment works with NTSC cameras... I can't explain that the PAL RF modulator works just fine with an NTSC camera.

No there are two versions of the LN300 the NTSC and the PAL. I ordered the PAL but received the NTSC. I decided to keep it anyway I considered too time consuming and risky to send it back in order to have it excanged with a PAL one.
