Hello all! Been a while since i spoke to you lot! Apologies ive been rather busy the last 9 months or so! Hope you's are all doing well!! Ive got withdrawal symptoms and miss astronomy too much! We have had some clear nights recently and i kept wishing i had a scope! The bins just dont cut it im afraid. The city life is taking its toll on the old wallet (and liver lol) so i have no where near the free cash i once had to invest in astronomy. So unfortunately my setup wont quiet live up to what i had before haha! I bit the bullet and went all out... £45 delivered for this wee bad boy! www.wexphotographic.com/buy-sky-watcher-heritage-76-mini-dobsonian-telescope/p1033882Yes... its like a little stupid toy compared to what i once had...but at the moment i think it will be perfect for my needs. Plus i still have a few good eyepieces and the old legendary sammy! I'll be more than happy with some nice views of the moon and maybe a cheeky peek at M42! Here's my only attempt at an astro pic recently... If you zoom in just above the hill you can just about make out Mars haha! Using my iphone Will let you's know just how pish it is haha! Anyway..... Clear Skies lads! Chris

great to hear your patter again chris, i can hear experiments taking shape. speaking of liver damage, a while ago the local nurse took samples, looking for keytones ? she said its easier to repair your broken telescope than a broken liver, scared the daylights out of me , iv'e cut back my intake 50%. [the telescope is still broken] john.

A Mallincam Micro could transform that into an 8" Coulter red tube ;-)

Hey Chris, great to hear from you again!!!!! Don't be so negative about your new scope I've heard good things regarding tiny Reflectors when used with Video cameras! Apparently they are a surprisingly good size for Video. Enjoy it

I agree with Ken. I frequently go back to my 5" newtonian or the ED80 for video. They are eaiser to get going than the 10" hernia newtonian or the 8" RCT. Also, the FOV is much wider on those smaller scopes without needing to use reducers.
Cheers Dean
