That's a nice shot of Jupiter and the moons. Not an expert on planets, but I think if you can see the moons then the exposure is too long. Keep shortening the exposure until you can see shadow on the disc. If using the Sammy, tweak the brightness and contrast in the computer software. Don't worry about losing the moons. And focus focus focus.

Phil, I think that's as good as it gets, its a bit difficult to get Jupiter and its moons with video. If you concentrate on getting Jupiter at the right exposure you will loose out on getting all the moons as they are a lot dimmer and visa versa if you try to get all the moons at the correct exposure Jupiter will be over exposed

Yep, it's either one or the other. Moons or Planet. If you want to see the Moon syou have to extend the settings and integration, which blows out the planet. If you want the Planet you need to reduce settings (down to something like 1/1000th of a second). Then the Moons disappear Maybe the HDR setting in the new versions of Miloslick can do some trickery to show both. Won't know until someone tries it.

Im in no rush, I just plod along..picking up equipment and ideas and learning just thpresent as you guy's. .im happy to do it in small steps now..ive jumped in the deep end a few times and bought stuff .. 1..because I liked the look of it 2..because I liked the price of it 3..most importantly convinced myself I needed it.. so its small steps in the mind of a video astronomer madman, direction for me at the present time is portability and catching as many photons as possible in the shortest time...was ideal having the shed but its gone now and beed to move on..the three camera array once operational should cover a few bases..once I fit the dvr in the car it's just a case of popping up a screen to view targets and check settings via the three utc controllers ..i can even set up the phil dyer camera as a foyrth camera on a seperate tripod..the flat has the eq3 with ed80 set up and an az3 with st102 for visual and and the 8" newt to swap with..so the kit is all there just weather and time now..pioevabd taking up a bit of time but astronomy still no1..lol..davy

Here's the thing about Miloslick HDR, I doubt it has access to the video mode if a camera is in hyper mode. I've never seen someone use it in any other mode so far.

aahhh OK Curtis. So without saving images at different exposure times then using PhotoShop layers or the easyHDR program, there's no way yet to show both. I did make a collage once. I cut and pasted Jupiter onto the image of a blown out Jupiter and Moons. Worked OK The images were grabs from using my Philips 840k ToUcam Pro II webcam at different video settings.
